*Jesus — The Way, and the Destination*
> “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” — John 14:6
Many believers think Christianity is mainly about going to heaven, but Scripture reveals something deeper: the goal of salvation is not merely a place, but a Person. Jesus did not say, “I am the way to heaven.” He said, “I am the way.” The destination of the believer is the Father through union with Christ.
The Gospel is not merely escape from hell or entrance into paradise. Christ died _“to bring us to God”_ (1 Peter 3:18). Eternal life is not simply endless existence after death; it is knowing God through Jesus Christ (John 17:3). Heaven without Christ would have no glory, because He Himself is the believer’s true inheritance.
Paul’s deepest longing was not merely to leave earth, but _“to be with Christ”_ (Philippians 1:23). The cry of the mature believer is not for golden streets, but for deeper fellowship with Jesus. The greatest reward of salvation is not heaven itself — it is Christ Himself.
Christianity, therefore, is not centered on relocation, but relationship; not merely reaching heaven, but becoming one with Christ. Jesus is not only the path we walk on — He is the very destination for which the soul was created.
