Faith Does Not Eliminate Preparation

*Faith Does Not Eliminate Preparation*

> “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house.” — Hebrews 11:7

Faith begins when we believe what God has spoken, even when we cannot yet see the fulfillment. Noah was warned of something that had “not seen as yet,” yet he did not merely wait for it to happen. His faith moved him to prepare. Faith does not produce passivity; it produces obedient preparation.

When God gives direction for something that is yet to come, the present season becomes a season of preparation. Instead of being consumed by what has not happened, we should ask, “What can I faithfully prepare today for what may be required tomorrow?” Faith looks beyond present circumstances and prepares according to the word received.

Scripture says, “Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.” — Proverbs 24:27  . Faith does not excuse poor planning; rather, faith calls us to become faithful stewards of what has already been placed in our hands.

At the same time, preparation must not become an attempt to force an outcome. There is a difference between preparing for what we believe is coming and manipulating circumstances to make it happen. Faith waits for the right timing while remaining ready to act when the opportunity comes.

The waiting season, is never a wasted season. It can be the very season in which capacity is developed, resources are arranged, weaknesses are corrected and foundations are established. What appears to be a delay may actually be a period of preparation.
