*Love That Stayed on the Cross*
> “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” — John 15:13
True love is proven not by words, but by sacrifice. Jesus Christ revealed the highest form of love when He willingly laid down His life for His friends.
The cross was not merely a moment of suffering; it was the fullest revelation of divine love. Jesus knew betrayal was coming, yet He stayed. He knew His disciples would fail Him, yet He still called them friends. His love was not dependent on human faithfulness but flowed from His own faithful heart.
The greatness of Christ’s love is seen in this: He did not protect Himself when He had the power to do so. Instead, He surrendered Himself so others could live. Every wound, every rejection, and every step toward Calvary declared one truth — love gives itself away.
In a world where love is often measured by feelings and convenience, Jesus showed that real love sacrifices, forgives, and remains steadfast even in pain. The cross stands as the eternal proof that the highest love is self-giving love.
The nails did not keep Jesus on the cross.
Love did.
