Speak to Your Soul: Hope in God

*Speak to Your Soul: Hope in God*

> `“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; For I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.” Psalm 42:11 (KJV)`

There are moments when your heart feels heavy and your circumstances seem overwhelming. But I must not allow my feelings to dictate my faith. Instead of listening to my troubled soul, I must speak the truth of God’s Word to it.

Your soul might be cast down, but your God is still faithful. Your circumstances might be uncertain, but His promises remain sure. You may not understand what He is doing, but you can trust who He is.

“Hope thou in God” is a command you must give to your own soul. You must deliberately turn your thoughts away from fear and fix your attention on God’s faithfulness. Your hope must not be in what you see today, but in the God who holds your tomorrow.

“For I shall yet praise him.” Your present sorrow is not the end of your story. You do not have to wait for everything to change before you praise Him. Praise Him while you wait, because He is worthy of your trust even in the midst of uncertainty.

He is the health of your countenance and your God. Therefore, do not surrender to discouragement. Strengthen your heart in His Word, anchor your hope in His faithfulness, and continue to trust Him.

_My soul, hope in God! I shall yet praise Him, for He is still my God._

Your brother in Christ,

Apostle Ashok Martin
