“When Disorder Comes, Respond Spiritually”

*“When Disorder Comes, Respond Spiritually”*

> `“Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.” Acts 6:2`

You may have seen and heard people say, “I’m not a perfect person.” Or perhaps you have noticed that someone is able to handle one thing well, while something else goes wrong… It is true that such situations reveal the imperfections of human beings, but it is not right—and it is certainly not according to the Word—to assume that things cannot be improved or that such failures are simply normal for everyone.

Every time something goes wrong, saying, “I’m not a perfect person,” or “Everyone has weaknesses,” can become a strong excuse for not dealing with our shortcomings. In Acts 6, when disorder arose, the disciples could have made many such excuses. But instead, they prayed, gathered the people together, and seven other men were chosen so that the disorder could be properly addressed and prevented from continuing. You should do the same.

Never say, “What can I do?” Instead, recognize the God-given abilities within you and understand that you are a person who can build and bring things into order. You can pray. You can hold on to the Word. Believe that things will change. Disorder is a test that gives you an opportunity to respond spiritually, so that others may see that you possess extraordinary wisdom and that God is with you.

Therefore, when disorder arises, do not panic. Do not say, “What can I do?” Instead, remain patient and understand that the disorder may simply be a test—an opportunity for it to become evident that you truly are part of the chosen generation.

Your brother in Christ,

Apostle Ashok Martin
