*When Hope Seems Impossible*
> `“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” — Romans 15:13 KJV`
God is not merely the One who gives hope—He is the God of hope. Hope is part of His nature. Therefore, when everything around you says, “There is no way,” God can still put something inside you that says, “God is able.”
There are seasons when a person becomes so broken that even prayer becomes difficult. Disappointment after disappointment can drain the heart until one no longer knows what to expect. The burden becomes so heavy that the soul loses the strength to believe for anything good.
This is why Jesus warned: _take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged…”— Luke 21:34_. The enemy does not always need to destroy a person through a great tragedy. Sometimes he simply allows the cares of this life to accumulate until the heart becomes so full of worry, fear and disappointment that there is no room left for expectation. Be careful what you allow your heart to carry. Do not let circumstances become greater in your heart than the promises of God.
Our hope is not in people, money, opportunities, governments, relationships, or favourable circumstances. All these things can change. Our hope is in God, and He does not change. And notice what Paul says: _God fills us with joy and peace in believing. Then we abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost._
Perhaps today you feel that there is nothing left to hope for. Perhaps you have prayed so long that you are tired of praying. Perhaps disappointment has made you afraid to expect anything good again. Come back to the God of hope. Let Him fill the empty places again.
