Your confidence will be rewarded!
So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.

Ignorance of God’s Word – destroys our faith, which is our “confidence”. Only God’s Word can bring real confidence. For those who desire this confidence it is extremely important to walk obediently in the full light of God’ s Word. To have confidence in God, you must have real fellowship with God. You cannot have real fellowship with God unless you walk in the light of His Word.
Those who walk in darkness cannot have fellowship with God. Those who have the greatest fellowship with God are those who have the greatest faith. Our faith is in exact proportion to the fellowship, which we have with God. It’ s no wonder that many today have little faith, for they have very little fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Indeed, many have no fellowship with Him because of a rebellious spirit, or self-will.
Without real fellowship with God, there can be no real faith in Him. Continuing in darkness after receiving the light of God’ s Word will break that fellowship and, according to 1 John 1:7, the blood of Jesus Christ will no longer continue to cleanse us from sin. Rebellion, or self-will, will close the door of your heart to real faith and, at the same time, it will be open to doubt and unbelief.
