DAY 64 —
*“Walking in the Light While Surrounded by Pressure”*
> “Do not avenge yourselves… for the LORD will judge.” — 1 Samuel 24:12
*1 Samuel 22–25:* David refuses to seize a throne by fleshly force while Saul collapses under fear and pride; restraint proves kingship before a crown is worn, and Abigail’s wisdom shows that discernment can stop bloodshed faster than strength.
*Proverbs 13–15:* Proverbs declares that a gentle answer, teachable spirit, and fear of the LORD preserve life, while haste, anger, and arrogance lead to destruction.
*Ezekiel 29–32:* Ezekiel humbles Egypt’s pride, reminding every power that self-exaltation ends in silence, because no nation or leader is greater than the Lord who rules history and graves.
*1 John 1–2:* John calls believers to walk in the light, confess sin quickly, reject love for the world, and obey Christ as proof of knowing Him—darkness is not defeated by claims but by obedience.
True authority is revealed through self-control, humility, and obedience to God’s light. Those who wait on the Lord will be vindicated, those who walk in the light will not stumble, and those who fear God will outlast every proud power.
_“The one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.”-1 John 2:6_
