Possess the Spirit City Before You Possess the Land
> “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”Hebrews 11:3
Every visible city has an invisible one behind it. Every land you step into has a spiritual structure already built before you arrived. What men call a country or a town, heaven calls by another name. Colossians 1:15 says, _“He is the image of the invisible God.”_ The invisible is the blueprint of the visible. Until a man rules in the spirit, he cannot reign on earth.
You can buy a land, sign the papers, and still not possess it, because possession is not just legal — it is spiritual. There are thrones, gates, and voices that determine who truly has access. That is why the wise build altars before they build walls. Joshua was told, _“Every place the sole of your foot treads I have given you,”_ yet he still had to fight. Promises are inherited through warfare, not through wishes.
The tragedy of many is that they enter territories with certificates instead of authority. Knowledge gives you information, but *altars give you dominion.* If you don’t discern who holds power in a territory, you’ll labour but not last. When a man in some country who once bought a land saw cows rise from water in the night hours, he discovered the truth — the land had landlords he did not see.
There is a Spirit City behind every physical city, and until your throne in Christ rises above it, the land will resist you. But thanks be to God, in Christ we are seated far above all principalities and powers. When you enthrone Christ over your environment, the gates open. You don’t just occupy space; you establish rule.
*So speak to your land, lift your altar, and declare:* _“The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. I possess the Spirit City in the name of Jesus. Every hidden throne bows to the Throne of Christ. I reign here because He reigns in me.”_
