*MAGNIFY YOUR OFFICE*
`”For I speak to you Gentiles, in as much as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office.”Romans 11:13`
It is when you magnify your office that you will become a good and faithful servant. You can’t be lazy when you esteem your calling. The Greek word for MAGNIFY is DOXAZO, which means to bring glory, to make glorious, and to cause the significance or worth of something to become acknowledged. It is your responsibility to see to it that your office is magnified.
Others looked down on Paul’s ministry because they considered the Gentiles outcasts, but Paul magnified his office. Others where ashamed of Preaching the Gospel, but Paul boldly said, _”For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”_ (Romans 1:16).
How often do we hear people say things like, _”I’m just a worshipper” “I’m just an volenteer,’ or “I’m just a partner in church”_. As long as you say `”I’m just,…”` you are belittling your office. Colossians 4:17 MSG, says, _”Do your best in the job you received from the Master. Do your very best.”_
If you look down on the work you have received from the Lord:
– `YOU WON’T PAY MUCH ATTENTION TO IT`. (See Colossians 4:17)
– `YOU WILL NEGLECT IT` (See Philippians 2:21 CEV)
* `YOU WON’T WALK WORTHY OF IT` (See Ephesians 4:1 ESV)
– `YOU WON’T PROTECT IT` (See Acts 20:28-29 ESV)
– `YOU WON’T PRAY FOR IT` (See 1 Samuel 12:23)
– `YOU WON’T INVEST IN IT` (See 2 Corinthians 12:15 AMP)
– `YOU WON’T SACRIFICE FOR IT` (See 1 Corinthians 9:12)
– `YOU WONT BE LOYAL TO IT` (See Acts 20:22-24).
– `YOU WILL GIVE UP ON IT` (See 2 Timothy 4:10 CEV).
– `YOU WON’T GLORIFY GOD` (See John 17:4 AMP).
Regardless of how simple your calling came to you, take it seriously! THERE ARE NO INSIGNIFICANT CALLINGS 😑. THOSE PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE THEIR CALLINGS ARE INSIGNIFICANT always fail to accomplish anything significant with their calling. The man who received one talent buried It because he felt it wasn’t significant compared to what others received. But what did the Lord call him? “_…Wicked and slothful servant…”_ (Matthew 25:26). Please don’t become like this guy.
