*Beware of Human Doctrines*
`Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Colossians 2:8-9`
Every doctrine coming from a source apart from Jesus Christ is questionable and worth being cautious. Paul here is asking us to be cautious of human philosophy,empty deceptive talks, tradition of men and the the elementary principles of this world, (rudiments of the world). We need to be careful of these things because they have potential to spoil us.
Jesus said that the words He speaks are Spirit and life (John6:63). This means every word or doctrine apart from Christ is spirit surely but does not give life, it can steal, kill and destroy you, because Life comes only from Christ. Colossians 2:9 says -“For in Christ dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
It is only in the doctrine of Christ that you will be complete and fulfilled. From this moment on may you receive the grace to discern the truth of Christ in every area of your life. And may the mind of Christ rest in you that no human philosophy, no dceptive talk, no tradition of men or elementary principes of this world can ever capture you, for whom the truth of Christ sets free is Free indeed!!!
