*Lying – seemingly small, but actually a big sin!*
*Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.*
*Proverbs 12:22*
Revelation 22:15 says that those not permitted to enter heaven are outside and they are the malicious hypocrites, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, murderers, idolaters, and every lover of LIES.
Why does a loving God, who forgives even the worst sin of men, hate LYING LIPS so much?
It is because lying does not come from God, but it directly comes from the devil. According to the scriptures, the devil is the father of all LIE. But our God is THE TRUTH Himself. If we are filled with the Holy Spirit, not even a trace of falsehood will be found in us, because the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of TRUTH. If we lie, we are not children of God, but children of the devil, because lying comes from the devil.
Furthermore, when we once start lying to hide our sins, we then do it again and again. And by doing this, we break the trust of not only our loved ones but also God. And once trust is broken, it is very difficult to win it back! Let us seek the grace to stand for TRUTH at all cost.
