Darkness has no power over you!!
He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son
Colossians 1:13
God is not a man that He should lie—He does not say anything He doesn’t mean or does not intend to fulfill. If HE says that darkness no longer has any authority over us, then this should settle the issue; we are delivered!
You may be thinking, “If Satan’s kingdom has no authority over me, how is he able to harass me so much?” It’s basically because we don’t know enough about this eternal life and what it has accomplished for us. The truth is: life always overcomes death, but life has to be enforced for death to bow its knee. We must take hold of who we are if we want this astonishing life to work for us. No matter what wonderful things God has imparted, He left it up to us to activate them. He did the work; the provision is accessible—and we turn the key to initiate what He has already fulfilled for you.
It is by faith we step out and reach for higher levels. Faith is simply trusting God that He did what He said. It is believing that He’ll do just what He declared He would do, because it is written down for us in His Word. God cannot lie. If He said it, He will do it! God declares that His glory is back inside of the born again saints—He says that His nature is once again resident within us.
