Separate yourself!
Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.”

We prepare for prayer by separating ourselves from our normal environment, our normal activities. When you are seeking God, you can’t be watching your phone or television. You can’t be listening to other people talking. You can’t be around distractions. If you’re going to seek God, you have to be serious about it. God says, “If you want to find Me, you will do so only if you seek Me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13)
God didn’t meet Aaron anywhere and everywhere. Aaron was to go into the Tent of Meeting. God said, “That is where I meet—in the Tent.” To enter the Tent, Aaron had to have certain things right. Aaron’s two sons tried to do things their own way. God said, “No, they haven’t met the requirements of meeting Me here.” (Leviticus 9:23–24; 10:1–2). As with Aaron, God doesn’t meet you just anywhere and in any way. There is a place in God in which He meets you, it’s not a building. It’s not even your body. It’s a place in God. God has prepared a place in Him just for you, and you need to enter that place. If your heart, your attitude, or your motives aren’t right—if there are things in your life that aren’t right—God says, “You aren’t yet in the place where I want you to be.”
