The Boundaries of Questions

The Boundaries of Questions

> “I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know, which I did not know.” — Job 42:3

Do questions also have boundaries? Yes, questions have boundaries.

The Book of Job tells us that Job kept asking questions, but when God revealed Himself to him, Job said: _“I spoke of things I did not understand.”_

Many times, like Job, we too cross the boundaries of our questions and do not hesitate to question God’s decisions and His ways. To question God’s works or decisions in such a manner is, in a sense, an attempt to place ourselves above God—as though we know better than Him.

Long ago, Lucifer, an angel, made the same attempt. He wanted to become like God, and as a result, he was cast down from heaven.

Korah and his followers did the same. Aaron and Miriam did the same. In the New Testament, the Pharisees did the same. And we know what the consequences were.

When questions begin to lead you toward doubting God and becoming spiritually disturbed, understand that it is the enemy who is giving you a false wisdom to question the works of a good God.

Therefore, be alert. Do not question God; trust Him.

Your brother in Christ,

Apostle Ashok Martin
