ASHOK MARTIN MINISTRIES

“Prayer, the Word, and Divine Order”

*“Prayer, the Word, and Divine Order”*

> `“But we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” — Acts 6:4`

Acts 6:4 reveals a very profound spiritual truth. Very few people understand that the ministry of prayer and the Word takes priority over other responsibilities.

That is why the disciples appointed seven other men who were full of the Holy Spirit to take care of the distribution of food. The disciples themselves could have done this work, but they understood that both spiritual ministry and practical service are services in the Kingdom of God.

Therefore, proper organisation did not hinder the ministry of the Word; rather, it helped the Word of God to spread.

Acts 6:7…Many times, people create disorder between ministry and practical responsibilities because they fail to understand the right balance. Eventually, they are unable to carry out their ministry properly, and they are also unable to take care of their families.

Because— Just as it is important to stand behind the pulpit and preach the Word to the multitude, it is equally important to take care of the arrangements and practical needs of those who are coming to hear the Word.

And this work also must be done while being filled with the Holy Spirit!

This makes the meaning even deeper: No one can serve in a ministry that is directed by the Holy Spirit—not even in something as simple as distributing food—without the Holy Spirit.

There is another important revelation in this: A person who is not devoted to the ministry of prayer and the Word will not have the right wisdom for the other responsibilities. And if he undertakes them, he may even create disorder and damage.

Your brother in Christ,

Apostle Ashok Martin
