*A Different Life Style*
> `“For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar treasure unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.” Deuteronomy 14:2`
We cannot worship God like everyone else. In the matter of worshipping God, our style should be different from the style of others. Our thinking about God should be different from the thinking of others. Our knowledge about God should be different from the knowledge of others. Only then will you be known as God’s people who are set apart.
Today, the problem is not what God thinks about us, but that we do not see ourselves the way God sees us. Whatever we do in life—worship, prayer, devotion, daily work—is all a part of our understanding. Our understanding influences our actions.
The pattern of understanding in this world is completely different from the pattern of understanding found in God’s Word. Therefore, it is written: _“And be not conformed to this world:” Romans 12:2_
_Isaiah 8:11-13: For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying, Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid. Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread._
This is why the patterns (life styles) prevailing in the world influence people, and they may become worldly successful, worldly religious, and worldly wealthy, but they remain of no use for the work of God.
Many people even like this, and they do not think about God’s perspective. And after gaining everything, they become people who lose everything. Therefore, let your style be different from everyone else, but let it be according to the Word.
Because many times people do not even understand that being different means being according to the Word.
_2 John 1:9 — “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.”_
