WHEN EVEN FAMILY DOES NOT UNDERSTAND GOD’S TIMING

*WHEN EVEN FAMILY DOES NOT UNDERSTAND GOD’S TIMING*

> “Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready.” — John 7:6

Jesus’ brothers were urging Him to go publicly to Jerusalem and display His works. From a human perspective, their suggestion may have sounded reasonable: “If you have something to show, go where everyone can see it.”

But Jesus understood something they did not understand: God’s work must be governed by God’s timing, not by human pressure. John specifically tells us:_“For neither did his brethren believe in him.”— John 7:5 KJV_

Being close to you does not mean someone understands your calling. Jesus’ brothers were His family, yet they did not believe in Him. Familiarity does not automatically produce spiritual understanding.

Sometimes the people closest to us may question what God is doing in our lives. They may say: _“Why don’t you do it this way?”

“Why don’t you make yourself known?” “Why are you waiting?” “If God is really with you, prove it.”“Everyone else is doing it—why aren’t you?”_

But the question is not: _“What does everybody think I should do?”_ The question is: _“What is the Father asking me to do, and when is He asking me to do it?”_ Jesus did not allow even family pressure to override divine timing.

Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is not go, not answer, not prove, not explain—but wait until God says, “Now.”

Your brother in Christ,

Apostle Ashok Martin
