Curds and Wild Honey: God’s Provision in the Midst of Judgment

> `“A man will keep alive only a young milk cow and two sheep… because of the abundance of milk produced he will eat curds… everyone that is left in the land will eat curds and wild honey.”— Isaiah 7:21–22 (AMP)`

This is a picture of devastating loss. A prosperous land is reduced to survival. One cow. Two sheep. No vineyards. No harvest.

Yet hidden within the judgment is a profound truth: God’s judgment never cancels His faithfulness to those He preserves.

The man has almost nothing, yet what little remains becomes enough. The same God who allowed the invasion also ensured that the survivors would not starve.

God may reduce your resources, but He never diminishes His ability to provide. He may remove what you rely on, but He never removes Himself.

Sometimes God strips away the many so that we discover the sufficiency of the few—because His blessing is not in the amount we possess, but in His presence upon what remains.

When everything else is taken away, those whom God preserves will always discover this truth: God’s provision is never limited by what is left in your hands, but by the One who remains with you.
