“Be marked, be fed, and be ready !”

*“Be marked, be fed, and be ready !”*

> “Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.”Hebrews 11:28 (KJV)

The Passover was never meant to be a comfortable meal—it was a departure in motion. With loins girded, shoes on their feet, and staff in hand, Israel did not eat as settlers but as pilgrims on the edge of deliverance (Exodus 12:11). The lamb was not merely for nourishment; it was the strength for a journey that demanded urgency. In the same way, when the Lamb of God gives His flesh to us, it is not to make us settled in this world, but to awaken us to movement toward the promise. To partake of Him is to accept that we no longer belong to Egypt.

The blood upon the doorposts was not symbolic sentiment—it was legal evidence before heaven. When the LORD passed through, He did not examine the worthiness of those inside, but the witness of the blood outside (Exodus 12:23). The destroyer had no authority where the blood spoke. It silenced every accusation, not because the people were without fault, but because judgment had already fallen on the lamb. Grace did not ignore sin; it satisfied justice through substitution.

This is profound mystery: protection is not found in effort, but in application of this blood. The lamb had to be slain, but its blood had to be applied. Many may acknowledge the Lamb, but only those who come under His blood walk in the safety of that covering. The destroyer does not retreat at human sincerity—it retreats at divine testimony. Where the blood is seen, wrath is restrained.

The same blood that protects also propels. Israel could not remain behind those blood-marked doors indefinitely. The meal was eaten in haste because deliverance demands response. To receive the Lamb is to be summoned forward—out of bondage, out of delay, out of compromise. The one who feeds on Him receives not only life, but direction and urgency. Redemption is not an end; it is the beginning of a journey toward inheritance.

Even now, the call remains the same: *be marked, be fed, and be ready.* The blood still speaks, the Lamb is still given, and the journey is still unfolding. Those who are covered will not perish, not because they are strong, but because they are claimed. And those who partake must rise without hesitation, for the night of deliverance does not wait—it moves with those who believe.
