The Path to True Wisdom

*The Path to True Wisdom*

“Behold, the fear of the Lord—that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.” — Job 28:28

Human may gain knowledge, skills, and experience, yet still find ourselves confused and directionless in crucial moments of life. It is because real wisdom is not something we discover on our own; it originates from God alone. As long as we depend only on our own understanding, we remain limited. But when we turn to God, we receive a higher perspective that brings clarity and direction.

True wisdom cannot be obtained through worldly means. It is hidden from all living beings, even from the birds of the air, and unknown even in the realm of death. This emphasizes that *no matter how educated, experienced, or powerful a person may be, without God they cannot attain true understanding.* In today’s world, people often confuse information with wisdom, but this scripture draws a clear distinction—information fills the mind, but wisdom comes from a relationship with God.

God alone understands the way to wisdom because He is the Creator and sustainer of all things. He established order in creation—giving weight to the wind, measuring the waters, setting boundaries for the rain, and directing the lightning. *God operates with perfect precision and complete knowledge.* If He governs the universe with such accuracy, then He surely understands every detail of our lives. Therefore, in times of confusion, we must learn to trust His understanding rather than leaning on our own limited perspective.

The most powerful truth is revealed in the final verse: *“The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding.”* Here, “fear” does not mean terror, but a deep reverence, honor, and submission to God. True wisdom is not complicated—it is a lifestyle of placing God first, respecting His Word, and walking in obedience. It is not just about what we know, but how we live.

We must, therefore begin to evaluate our daily decisions through a spiritual lens. Before making choices, we should ask: Does this please God? Is this right, or just convenient? Will this draw me closer to God or lead me away from Him? Choosing to turn away from evil—whether in small compromises, hidden habits, or obvious sins—is the evidence of true understanding. Honor God, stay connected to Him, and walk away from evil. This is true wisdom. This is the safest and most blessed way to live. 🙏
