Grace and Justice Walk Together

While justice gives what is due, grace gives more than is deserved. Yet the grace of God never operates in injustice. God is perfectly just when He is abundantly gracious. His generosity never robs one to bless another—it only reveals the depth of His goodness.
When men respond with envy and bitterness at another’s blessing, they shut their eyes to the glory of God. But when we rejoice in His generosity, celebrating His glory, humility is born within us. And to the humble, God gives even more grace.
The secret to attracting greater measures of grace is not striving, but bowing low. For _“God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble”_ (James 4:6).
