Day 9 – The Dreamer and the Pit

*Day 9 – The Dreamer and the Pit*

Dear beloved saints in Christ,

Today we meet *the God who fulfills destiny through difficulty.* When the pit tries to bury your dream, remember — *it’s only the soil where your purpose begins to grow.* 🌾

*Today’s Portions:*

• *Genesis 33–37* — Esau’s reconciliation, Joseph’s dreams, betrayal, and slavery

• *Psalm 9* — God our refuge and righteous Judge in times of trouble

• *Mark 3–4* — Parables of the Kingdom and Jesus’ power over the storm

• *Romans 9* — God’s sovereignty and mercy in His divine choosing

————

*“They meant it for evil, but God turned it for good.”*

> “Here comes the dreamer!” they said. “Let’s kill him and see what becomes of his dreams.” — *Genesis 37:19–20*

Every God-given dream faces opposition — *but every pit is still part of the plan.* In *Genesis 37*, Joseph’s brothers strip him of his robe but cannot steal his destiny. His dream is divine, not dependent on man’s approval. The pit becomes the passageway to the palace.

*Genesis 33* shows Esau and Jacob reconciling — a picture that God heals what hatred once destroyed. In Joseph’s story, betrayal cannot stop God’s covenant — *because the dreamer walks with the Dream-Giver.*

In *Psalm 9*, David declares, “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.” When the world pushes you into a pit, *praise will pull you out.* The same God who defended David will defend every dream that He Himself has birthed in you.

In *Mark 4*, the disciples cry out in fear as the storm rages. But Jesus rises and rebukes the wind. The One who gave you the dream will also *calm the storm trying to drown it.*  The Kingdom of God often begins small — like a mustard seed — but it grows into something mighty and unstoppable.

Your calling doesn’t rest on human effort but on *God who shows mercy.* You are chosen not by chance, but by *divine purpose.* Your pit, your process, your pain — all are working together to fulfill heaven’s plan for your life.

Don’t despise the pit. Sometimes, God removes your coat to reveal your character. Sometimes, He allows rejection to make room for *redirection.* Your dream will not die in the pit — *it will rise in power.*

Your brother in Christ,

*Apostle Ashok Martin*

*When you finish reading today, drop a* 👍 in the group and declare:*“My pit is not my end — it’s the beginning of my promise!”*
