ASHOK MARTIN MINISTRIES

The sound of His Calling: “Rise, and Follow Me”🕊️

The sound of His Calling: “Rise, and Follow Me”🕊️

> “And as Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. He said to him, ‘Follow Me.’ He rose and followed Him.” — Matthew 9:9

Every call is from God’s heart—a call that calls us out of our mediocrity and into eternity. Matthew’s life was tied to a trading table, but a single word—“Follow Me”—changed his direction, identity, and destiny.

When God calls, He doesn’t just ask for work—He wants a whole life. The call carries the same fire that burned within Noah; the same grace that led Abraham on an eternal journey; the same power that moved Peter to abandon his net.

When Jesus calls, He doesn’t just say, “Come”—He says, “Rise.”  Because a call always begins with rising:

Rising from your old identity,

Rising from your fears and insecurities,

Rising from your limitations.

And when you rise, you will find that the one who calls you walks with you. Psalm 3 gives us this assurance—“The Lord is my shield, my pride, and my head that lifts you up.” When the weight of life weighs you down, that same call lifts you up.

Jesus not only heals but also gives direction. In the midst of a storm, He says, “Be still!”—and the sea becomes calm. Those who recognize His voice always find their inner storms stilled.

No one is righteous, but he who believes is declared righteous. The basis of a believer’s claim is grace, not merit. As you read and meditate on His Word today, hear that same voice calling your name—“Rise, and follow Me.”  Because the call is not just for service, but for fellowship.

🕊️ He calls so that you may walk with Him.

🔥 He walks with you so that you may never fall again.
