Do Not Quit Your Ground
> “Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.” — 1 Corinthians 16:13 (NKJV)
Beloved, do not yield your ground. You serve the Almighty God—the Commander of Heaven’s armies. Even when the cloud of witnesses feels distant and silent, your command remains: *“Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith”* (Hebrews 12:2). The full armor of God was not given for retreat, but that *“having done all, you may stand”* (Ephesians 6:13).
Do not let any other voice beguile you. The urge to escape insult, reproach, or pain is not divine counsel—it is temptation to abandon your post. Elijah, Jeremiah, and Paul all wrestled with despair, yet God strengthened each to endure. To Jeremiah He said, *“If you have run with footmen and they have wearied you, how will you contend with horses?”* (Jeremiah 12:5). To Paul He declared, *“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness”* (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Therefore, stand firm. The battlefield of faith is not for the faint-hearted but for those who know their God. Heaven records not those who fled, but those who finished. So, endure hardness as a good soldier of Christ. Victory belongs to those who refuse to quit.
