The Lord Alone Is My Portion
“Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” — Psalm 73:25–26 (NKJV)
There are moments when the Holy Spirit pulls back the veil, and I see this world for what it truly is — fleeting, fragile, and foreign to the soul that belongs to God. The people we trust, the relationships we cherish, and the joys we hold close are but shadows compared to the eternal substance found in Christ.
Man’s loyalty is uncertain, for the heart of man is deceitful above all things (Jeremiah 17:9). Yet, if betrayal has not reached me, it is not because of man’s goodness — it is because the *hand of God* still rests upon me. Truly, every man is an orphan beneath the heavens until he finds his Father through the Son.
Whether one walks alone or among crowds, both must come to the same revelation: only one thing matters — *“Does my Saviour know me?”* For on that Day, many will say, “Lord, Lord,” but He will answer, “I never knew you” (Matthew 7:23).
So let this be the anthem of my soul: *I have decided to follow Jesus.* No turning back. For He alone is *the Way, the Truth, and the Life* (John 14:6). Every crown will fall, every throne will fade, but Jesus Christ — the Lord, the Saviour, and the King — reigns forever and ever. *Selah.*
Your brother in Christ,
