*STOP TRYING TO JUSTIFY YOURSELF BEFORE MEN*
`“And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God” Luke 16:15,`
Stop trying to justify yourself before: 1. Those Who Thought You’d Be A Failure For Choosing To Serve God. They thought you wouldn’t succeed if you chose to serve God, and now you’re trying to prove them wrong. That is not worth it. You don’t need to prove a point to anyone that you made the right choice to serve God. YOUR CALLING IS NOT A PERFORMANCE!
Sometimes we can do the right thing, but with the wrong heart. The Bible says of Amaziah, “…he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart.” (2 Chronicles 25:2). If your motivation to serve God is to be seen, applauded, or approved by people, you will constantly be chasing affirmation and easily become discouraged when it doesn’t come. Ministry is not about proving your worth; it’s about serving the One who has already given you worth.
The validation you seek doesn’t come from people; it comes from God alone. It is He who called you, and it is He who will reward you. Many times, the Lord may ask you to give or do something that will make others say, A WASTE ! Please, you need not stop to explain yourself to everyone. Mary did not explain herself to the disciples who were indignant about her giving. Similarly, Abraham, on his way to sacrifice Isaac, did not explain himself to anyone. Both Mary and Abraham acted as they did because they believed that nothing is too much to give to the Lord.No one who is genuinely called by God can be fully understood by others—unless it has been given to them.
THE FRUIT OF YOUR OBEDIENCE WILL SPEAK IN TIME. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Keep your hands on the plow. Keep your heart pure.
