*An Army of firery people*
A large and mighty army comes, such as never was in ancient times nor ever will be in ages to come. Before them fire devours, behind them a flame blazes. Before them the land is like the garden of Eden, behind them, a desert waste— nothing escapes them. They have the appearance of horses; they gallop along like cavalry. Joel 2:2-4 NIV
This is talking about the emergence of an army of God right from the midst of gloominess and darkness! An army designed to enjoy strange affluence, inexplicable abundance, and command strange wealth! The Garden of Eden will be recreated for them. However, outside their camp will be great sufferings and afflictions. This great army will be made up of men and women of unquestionable dominion; an army to be envied, not just by people, but by nations as well! Nations will identify and respect them (Isaiah 62:2-4). They shall be modern day Elijahs, who would decide the destinies of nations (1 Kings 17:1).
One unique thing about this army is that the blackness around is what will make their distinction remarkable. Jesus said, _“Ye are the light of the world”_ (Matthew 5:14). That makes you a pacesetter. People will be tracing your steps to know how to be great. Jesus also said, _“Ye are the salt of the earth”_ (Matthew 5:13). That means you are created to matter in your generation. The purpose of salt is to give taste and preserve from decadence. This means this generation needs you to sweeten people’s lives, to preserve them from decadence.
