God’s protection over the righteous!
The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.. Psalm 34:17
God is great and so is His protection! His every word is enough to work mighty things in our lives too and demonstrates His divine protection. But the only condition for this to happen is that we must be righteous according to His Word!
According to Psalm 34:15 – “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are attentive to their cry.” If we are righteous, God always keeps His attention on us. When a righteous person calls to Him, God listens and when he is in trouble, God rescues him.
There is nothing in creation that can harm us. This is because God, who created this creation, has put this entire creation under the authority of Jesus, the Christ. Now whatever command we give to this universe in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, it will listen to and obey our command.
But the promises for protection from God are only for a righteous person, not for the wicked. As it is written in Proverbs 28:1 – “The wicked flee even when no one is chasing them, but the righteous stand firm like young lions.” According to this verse, God’s protection for the righteous produces boldness, but only fear is found in the wicked person. So, let us test ourselves whether we are righteous or not!
