We are free from the curses !
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage Galatians 5:1.
Adam had to abandon his created purpose because of the curse. He no longer could focus on his assignment of taking care of the earth, but instead, his waking hours were consumed with finding provision. He became a slave to that need. People who do not have money spend their time running after it, and those who have money hoard it away because the only way of escape from this cursed system of finances, the rat race, is to have more money than needed. Thus, those who have it are consumed with thoughts of how to keep it, and those who don’t have it filter every decision through the mindset of finding it. Fear entered the earth at this time and worry consumed the minds of people.
No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money (Matthew 6:24). There is no middle ground. All of your decisions will be based on the system you trust in. As long as your decisions are wrapped around financial survival, you will never discover God’s purpose for your life. And your money thing will never be fixed until you have more than enough money.
But, Hebrews 4:9-10 says, “There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His.” This Sabbath rest Hebrews talks about is available to us today through Jesus Christ.
Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs (Isaiah 61:7). Do you see it? We have been given the double portion-more than enough through what Jesus paid for. Jesus himself stated in Luke 4:21 that He is the fulfillment of this Scripture in Isaiah 61. He set us free from the earth’s curse and made us sons and daughters of God, now with access to the entire Kingdom of God-more than enough!
