*Learn to receive corrections!*
*Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.*

Receiving corrections and rebuke is painful. But if you can’t abide correction, you have no business being in God’s work. You’re a dangerous human being, dangerous to God’speople and to unbelievers alike.
The effective servant of the Lord has strong opinions weakly held. He or she is completely open to correction on anything he or she believes or teaches. Humility is a first principle in the work of God. The ability to listen to corrections without becoming defensive is its outstanding mark. Here’s what it looks like when believers receive correction in the spirit of Christ
They don’t defend, justify, or rationalize. They ask questions to better understand the issue. The person who listens the greatest is the most mature person in the room. They are keenly aware that they may have blind spots. They don’t reframe the correction as a personal attack (even when it is). They don’t take it personally. They refuse to get offended.
