Key to Spiritual Power!

Key to Spiritual Power!

Good sense and discretion make a man slow to anger, And it is his honor and glory to overlook a transgression or an offense without seeking revenge and harboring resentment.

Proverbs 19:11 AMP

When John the Baptist found himself alone in prison, he began to doubt that Jesus actually was the promised Messiah. Whenever we are in a dark place, the Lord speaks the same piercing word to us as He did to John: “Blessed is the one who is not offended by me.” Even when God allows others to come into your life and cause you pain. Blessed is the one who is not offended by Christ. This is the forgotten beatitude.

John the Baptist served God all his life, utterly, totally, and without compromise. He denied himself at every front, never drinking wine, refusing to wear fine clothes, and forgoing delicious meals. And what did he have to show for it? Imprisonment. And eventually beheading. To make matters worse, when John was gripped with uncertainty, Jesus didn’t even visit him in prison. Jesus “social distanced” from John instead, sending messengers to communicate with him.

As a servant of the Lord, you can’t afford to be offended. But this becomes particularly challenging when this toxic habit of OUTRAGE not only gets common but is also celebrated. Outrage, however, is not a fruit of the Spirit. It’s a product of the flesh. God’s true servants are unoffendable. It’s a key to spiritual power.

Your brother in Christ,
Apostle Ashok Martin
