We are created for His pleasure!
Revelation 4:11
“For [God] hast created all things, and for [His] pleasure they are and were created”
Did you know that every battle you go through really matters to God? Your battle may not be your choice, but winning is a choice! You will always have an enemy—satan, lucifer, the devil—but God anticipated the attacks of the enemy against you, and that’s why He provided the cross! The devil and his demons carefully plan attacks against you, and they fully intend for you to fail and be defeated. But Jesus shed His precious blood on the cross, to ensure your victory and recovery! Satan despises God and hates anyone who receives God’s affection. Satan comes against you because you are a potential source of pleasure to God.
Satan’s real enemy is God. But, because he is powerless against God, he attacks that which is closest to the heart of God—you and me! Satan’s main purpose of warfare against you is to separate you from God. Since he couldn’t stop you from getting born again, the next best thing is to keep you from having a relationship with God.
How does he go about fulfilling this goal? He assaults you with adversity, tests, trials, and constant pressure. He knows that if he can keep you down and discouraged, then you pose no real threat to him
