The candle of the Lord!
“The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.”
Proverbs 20:27
The voice of God appears to us as light. Men’s spirits are the Lord’s candles, but it is GOD’S VOICE that illuminates and shines through them. The spirit of man is the candle while the HOLY SPIRIT IS THE FIRE on the candle. This means that man can only hear God with his spirit-man with the assistance of the Holy Spirit.
God’s voice is spiritual, and it is sent to the human spirit to be heard. God can speak light to you in the form of a vision, a dream, or an illustrative object, which is a revelation. The ability to receive God’s voice as light; open vision, dream revelations are defined as a seeing eye. Because the eye is the source of all light in the body, it is associated with the sight. The voice of God that comes to us as light is referred to as revelation, whereas the voice of God that is not revealed is referred to as mystery. God’s voice will remain a mystery as long as it is not received as light.
Let us receive the grace to have a seeing eye.
