*DAY 89 —*
*When God’s Life Governs a Man*
> “The LORD lives; blessed be my Rock! Let God be exalted.” — 1 Chronicles 16:34
God’s life is not information we admire but power that governs— it is His wisdom correcting our decisions, His strength sustaining our obedience, His holiness restraining our flesh, His love enlarging our capacity to bless.
*1 Chronicles 16–21* reveals a sobering truth: worship invites God’s presence, but obedience sustains God’s pleasure. David brings the ark with songs, yet numbers the people with pride praise without dependence still invites discipline.
God’s life does not coexist with self-reliance; it replaces it. When men trust systems, strength, or numbers, God allows exposure—not to destroy, but to restore order. Judgment stops the moment repentance rises, because God’s life responds to humility faster than to sacrifice.
*Nahum 1–3* declares the other side of the same truth: God is slow to anger, but He never negotiates with arrogance. Nineveh repented once, but later relied on power, cruelty, and false security— and the same God who spared them became the God who silenced them.
God’s life lifts the humble and dismantles the proud. It protects those who trust Him and exposes those who use Him.
You don’t lose God’s life by weakness— you lose it by independence. God’s life flows where repentance is quick, obedience is costly, and trust is daily. Worship invites God, obedience hosts God, humility sustains God’s life within a man.
